We have stayed here previously some year's ago so decided to stay again this time with my fourteen year old granddaughter for three nights shopping and fireworks.The fact that no breakfast is served didn't really bother us as a good selection of eateries near by , a kettle and selection of teas are provided in your room so this sufficed until we went out in the morning,and enabled a lay in without having to rush for breakfast time's .Whole hotel is absolutely spotless , so very clean everywhere,the bed's were comfortable,pillows comfortable,lot's of clean towels,plenty of storage space in our room , an iron and ironing board provided too which is a must for me personally as clothes crease whilst travelling 10 out 10 for providing this .Only two minor niggles ( and personal opinion only )Bathroom had NO soap for hand washing after using the loo , no dispenser or bar of soap which i find odd in a toilet to be honest,hand washing is vital but nothing provided at all , i went out and purchased some liquid soap for hand washing.No toiletries provided at all , not a problem as brought our own , but if you didn't bring your own you'd be a bit stuffed .Lastly a table would've been nice in the seating area in the window,lovely comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy the view with a cuppa in the morning but NO table to place your drinks on , balancing hot drinks and biscuits on your lap isn't ideal just a small table would make a huge difference.Staff all excellent,professional,friendly and literally couldn't do enough for you , absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them , well done as this this makes a massive difference to a stay anywhere.Checking out time's excellent at 11oclock,I paid for late checkout as train wasn't until 2 o'clock,this was only £10 again well done .Travelling with my grandchildren safety is always my main priority wherever we stay as obviously a female on my own with children,absolutely no worries here at the Grovsnor,I felt safe and secure , nobody wondering halls at night,front door was secure,very peaceful at nightno doors slamming or shouting,extremely relaxed,cozy , home from home atmosphere.Except for the few niggles I've mentioned,our stay was excellent,I highly recommend this hotel and will hundred percent stay again.Thank you.- Angela Crossley
One night stay to watch the fireworks on the hoe. Great location of the hotel. Easy check in and out.- Ian Fraser
