AN award-winning independent hotel has unveiled its £400,000 expansion.
Following a £400,000, seven-month refurbishment, 12 new bedrooms were made available to guests at The Grosvenor Plymouth hotel.

The award-winning hotel on Elliot Street has expanded into the adjoining property to increase its size from 29 to 41 bedrooms and to include a new breakfast/ function room and lounge.

Owner Paul Bennett believes that these are the first new independent hotel bed spaces in Plymouth for a number of years and was delighted with the work and glad that it was finished in time for Plymouth’s busy summer season.

“I am watching Plymouth develop before my eyes but, as is common knowledge, there just aren’t enough quality bed spaces in the city,” he said.

“As we’ve seen with so many recent closures of small, medium and large accommodation providers, it’s a tough business to be in.
